How To Use Painter’s Pegs

Painter’s Pegs is safe and easy-to-use!

What You Need

All you need is the Painter’s Pegs, some water, and a clean 5-gallon bucket (available at any hardware or department store).

Set Up

• Place the Painter’s Pegs at the bottom of the bucket

• Add water—fill the 5-gallon bucket with just enough clean water to cover the pegs of the Painter’s Pegs

Clean & Finish

Clean Brushes
• Take the paint-covered brushes one at a time and move them over the Painter’s Pegs, back and forth in a sweeping motion until bristles are clean

Finish Up
• Allow brushes to air dry
• Dispose of any contaminated water properly
• Remove the Painter’s Pegs from the bucket
• Rinse bucket and Painter’s Pegs with tap or hose
• Allow Painter’s Pegs and bucket to air dry or towel dry
• Store the Painter’s Pegs in a secure and dry place away from children and animals

  • Q: Do I need to change the Painter’s Pegs water in between brush cleanings?

A: It is recommended that the water is changed in between brush cleanings and/or throughout the cleaning process, depending on the amount of paint on the bristles, to ensure the cleanest brush possible (water is still being saved even with clean water replacing)!

  • Q: Why doesn’t the Painter’s Pegs come with a 5-gallon bucket attached?

A: The Painter’s Pegs team is dedicated to saving you resources, including money. To reduce your total shipping costs, we recommend purchasing a 5-gallon bucket at a standard hardware store, which will cost under $10 as opposed to shipping a bucket, which would be much more expensive than the Painter’s Pegs alone!

  • Q: Do the Painter’s Pegs really work?

A: ABSOLUTELY! Painter’s Pegs makes paintbrush cleaning a breeze with ease! Factoring in the cost of discarding brushes with dried-on paint, having to replace brushes more frequently, and the amount of water used in cleaning a brush traditionally, the Painter’s Pegs will leave your brushes clean and intact, with the least amount of water used possible.

    Satisfaction is 100% guaranteed!

Additional Uses For Painter’s Pegs

Don’t leave your Painter’s Pegs on the shelf! Another way to use it is for keeping sponges clean during any washing project (such as car or boat washing). Painter’s Pegs lends itself as a dual solution in saving water and money for car washing and paint brush cleaning!

  • Anyone who has washed their car has seen the abrasive sand, dirt, and rust chips trapped on the sponge, wash cloth, or brush; these particles not only scratch the paint, but the windows, windshield, and chrome as well. Your Painter’s Pegs is the solution!

  • Simply place your Painter’s Pegs into the soap bucket and problem solved! You now have a barrier from all that abrasive dirt. This method also saves gallons of water because you do not have to change the soap and water as often. If you use a two-bucket wash & rinse system, pick up a second Painter’s Pegs!

  • Painter’s Pegs will keep your paint brush clean and the finish on your boat, car, or camper looking spotless—the best dual use product for an ambitious weekend warrior.
